2026-27 Season Dance Class Descriptions

Note - there is a $50 non-refundable registration fee for each child
There is a $175 production fee per class 

DANCE LEVEL REQUIREMENTS

JUNIOR/SENIOR FOUNDATIONS

Perfect for dancers who are brand new to dance or looking to strengthen their foundational skills. This welcoming and supportive level focuses on building confidence, coordination, musical awareness, and classroom technique in a fun and encouraging environment. No previous dance experience or prerequisites are required.

CORE

Designed for the developing junior or young senior dancer who has established a solid understanding of basic dance foundations. Dancers at this level are beginning to demonstrate musicality, rhythm, body awareness, and performance quality, while continuing to grow their technique and stage presence.

ELEVATIONS

For the advanced junior or young senior dancer who has confidently mastered the basic dance foundations. Dancers in this level display solid technique, musicality, performance quality, and expressive storytelling through movement, while continuing to challenge themselves artistically and technically.

REFINEMENT

Designed for the developing senior dancer who has a clear understanding of dance fundamentals and performance skills. Dancers at this level demonstrate consistency in rhythm, coordination, musicality, and expression, while working towards strengthening their technical skills and confidence as performers.

PRECISION

For the intermediate senior dancer who demonstrates a strong level of dance fundamentals and performance quality. Dancers are expected to show strong musicality, commitment to detail, expressive performance, and discipline in their training, while working towards refining technique, strength, and confidence as performers.

ARTISTRY

Designed for the advanced senior dancer, who displays a high level of dance fundamentals and  is ready to further excel their technical training and artistic performance. Dancers in this level demonstrate exceptional musicality, mature performance quality and a high level of technical ability. Emphasis is placed on refinement, versatility, and developing well-rounded performers.

JAZZ

Jazz is a fundamental dance form that complements all other styles of dance. Jazz classes are comprised of warms up, center works, and progressions including jumps and turns. Technique and style through choreography are emphasized. Students will learn progressive skills, dance combinations, and routines.

 

Jazz is offered to all ages and recommended for all students. All our Jazz classes perform in the Winter Show in November 2026 and the Year End Recital in June 2027.

Junior Jazz Foundations (Grades 4-7) - Friday 5:00-6:00pm

Senior Jazz Foundations (Grades 8-12) - Friday 6:00-7:00pm

Jazz Core (by recommendation) - Friday 6:00-7:00pm 

Jazz Elevations (by recommendation) - Thursday 6:00-7:00pm

Jazz Refinement (by recommendation) - Friday 7:00-8:00pm

Jazz Precision (by recommendation) - Thursday 4:00-5:00pm

Jazz Artistry (by recommendation) - Thursday 7:00-8:00pm

1 Hour Class = Full Tuition = $740.00

TAP

Make music with your feet! With a mix of technical steps and rhythm combinations, students train their musical ear and their feet in this exciting dance style. Develop and improve timing, rhythm, and coordination as well as strength and endurance. Once you start tapping, you’ll never want to stop!

 

All of our tap classes perform in both our Winter Show in November 2026 and our Year-End Recital in June 2027.

Junior Tap Foundations (Grades 4-7) - Wednesday 5:00-6:00pm

HIP HOP

Dance to your favourite hip hop music and learn all the current dance steps from today's popular culture. This program is a high-energy dance experience that is fun for dancers of all ages! 

 

All of our hiphop classes perform in both our Winter Show in November 2026 and our Year-End Recital in June 2027.

Our Lyrical classes are the perfect introduction to expressive movement and storytelling through dance. Dancers will learn foundational lyrical technique while also building strong ballet fundamentals, including posture, alignment, flexibility, balance, and musicality.

Classes focus on developing confidence, performance quality, and emotional connection to music in a supportive and encouraging environment. This program is designed for dancers of all experience levels who are looking to grow their technique while exploring the artistry of lyrical dance.

 

All of our Lyrical classes perform in both our Winter Show in November 2026 and our Year-End Recital in June 2027.
