Showstoppers Academy's Instructors have completed a

200 Hour Instructor Training Program or have received a Diploma in Theatre/Musical Theatre/Voice/Dance

Each of our Instructors must have a strong passion for Musical Theatre and sharing that passion with their students.

Chad and Erin Matchette are the current owners of the Lindbjerg Academy, and the proud new owners of Showstoppers!  Chad and Erin purchased Lindbjerg in January 2010. They have been part of the musical theatre community in the Lower Mainland since graduating high school, and have a variety of both onstage and production experience in musical theatre. Chad is also the co-owner and Artistic Director of Align Entertainment, a Metro Vancouver theatre production company that provides a large-scale family-friendly theatre experience. Erin’s background is in early children education, and recently became the full-time administrator at Lindbjerg. The Matchette’s goal is to make sure every student feels like they are a valued and contributing member of the studio. They are 100% dedicated to continuing that vision for Showstoppers students and maintaining the family atmosphere you are accustomed to.


Studio Manager/Senior Instructor

Miss Sam has been teaching at Showstoppers for 9 years and couldn’t be more excited to take on the role of studio manager! She has many years of dance and acting experience and is a Showstoppers alumni. She attended the Broadway Teachers Training Program and Student Summit in New York City in both 2017 and 2018. She also has experience choreographing for various theatre companies in the Lower Mainland, including TIC and Gallery 7. Sam strives to be an inspiring and enthusiastic teacher, and loves to share her passion for the stage with her students. She could not imagine doing anything else with her life, and is grateful every day for her incredible coworkers and students! 

Senior Instructor/Director

Miss Nicole has been teaching at Showstoppers for 11 years and has completed the 200 hour Instructor Training Program as well as the Broadway Teachers Training Program in New York City. She is a compassionate teacher and friend to her students. Nicole grew up singing and dancing. Her favourite past roles are, Miss Hannigan in "Annie", Horton in "Seussical the Musical" and Babette in "Beauty and the Beast". Miss Nicole went to post secondary school for Early Childhood Education and she loves sharing her passion for the Arts with her students. Her favourite place to be is Showstoppers. 


Vocal Coach

Miss Natasha has been a performer since before she can remember. Training in Musical Theatre, Dance, Voice and Competitive Figure Skating as a child. Miss Natasha continued her Musical Theatre and Voice training at Sheridan University in Ontario for 4 years. Miss Natasha now teaches voice and dance throughout the Lower Mainland as well as performing herself. Some of her past performance roles include Athos in “The Three Musketeers”, Tiger Lily in “Peter Pan” and Millie in “Thoroughly Modern Millie”. Miss Natasha is so excited to return to Showstoppers for another season!



Miss Dara has been a student at Showstoppers Academy for 9 years and started assisting in 2017. She has extensive Dance Training from a young age and looks forward to completing the 200 Hour Instructor Training Program at Showstoppers Academy. Some of her past roles include Wendy in "Peter Pan" (2016) and Mrs. Brill in "Mary Poppins" (2018). She very much enjoys Ballet, Jazz and Tap as well as Voice under the instruction of Miss Natasha. She loves being in the Masters Class and assisting in the younger student's classes. 


Miss Jess has been teaching at Showstoppers for the past 7 years and is a Showstoppers alumnae. Aside from teaching, Miss Jess has attended Capilano University's Musical Theatre program, and is currently in the process of getting her Bachelor of Education as teaching is her passion. Miss Jess loves sharing her passion for the arts with her students and watching each of them shine! 

Some of Miss Jess' favourite past roles have been Fiona in Shrek (2016), Elsa in Frozen (2019), and Belle in Beauty and the Beast (2020). 



Miss Jaya has successfully completed the 200 hour Instructor Training Program working under Miss Sam for 3 years and has been a student at Showstoppers Academy for nine years. Some of her past roles include Lily St. Regis in Annie and Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast. Miss Jaya also has a passion for piano and Dance which she has been doing for the past 10 years. This is Miss Jaya’s fourth year teaching and she is very excited to have the chance to work with all her students and help them achieve their musical goals.

Miss Jordyn started Showstoppers when she was 5 years old and was a student for 12 years. On top of her extensive Theatre training she is also an accomplished dancer (Peggy Peats School of Dance) and Gymnast/Trampolinist (Club Aviva) winning Provincial Championships from a young age. Miss Jordyn knows what it takes to become great at what you do, what you love and what you strive to be. She looks back fondly at her time at Showstoppers when she was young playing such roles as Annie in Annie (2014) and hopes to watch her students excel and thrive on stage for years to come.
